I.D. (Inside Diameter)
Inside Diameter. Various sizes of pins are inserted into the tube and additional ones are chosen until the pin inserts 1/16 inch and is tight. This pin represents the I.D. size.

O.D. (Outside Diameter)
Often the first and most critical dimension. Measured using a laser micrometer, mechanical micrometer or optical measurement.

Concentricity
Calculated by measuring the difference between the center of the outside diameter and the center of the inside diameter.

HT Technology
Homogenous Tube (HT) Technology produces a tube with a fully recrystallized, or homogenous, microstructure. A study of the metal structure shows that the material in the welds and parent metal are identical. The distinct benefits include an unmatched concentricity compared to seamless. Enhanced fabrication offers fine grain structure, and the need for weld seam orientation or alignment during fabrication is eliminated. Available in a variety of sizes and alloys.

Quick Response Manufacturing (QRM)
K-Tube understands the demands you face in developing new products for your market. Time-to-market is a critical piece of any development program and, in response, K-Tube created the QRM process to meet your needs for custom tubing in a short amount of time. It is important to us that you remain competitive in the marketplace, so we guarantee a quote turnaround of 24 hours and a maximum shipment time of 7 days.

Ra
Concerns the inside diameter surface finish of a tube. It is the mean of the values of the RMS/Ra.
